Siri Thompson was born and grew up in Jamaica, where her family kept various animals including dogs and goats. Her love of animals continues to this day, and often appear in her photography. She mostly photographs in Toronto, Canada, where she lives.
Drawing inspiration from her photographic heroes, Siri works hard at her art, combining mundane daily life, animals and reflections into deceptively complex scenes.
Since starting out in street photography a few years ago, Siri has gone from strength to strength, and exhibiting internationally in 2016 at the Timorous Beasties International Photography Show 2.16, in Seattle U.S.A and the Sony World Street Photography by Alpha, in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2016, Siri was interviewed for Flip Magazine. and in 2015, Siri was interviewed by Eric Kim where she spoke about raising dogs and pursuing reflections! Siri is currently working on a project celebrating the multicultural makeup of Toronto.
